From Hive to Home: Welcome to Blossom and Bees

Hey there, candle lovers!

Welcome to the official blog for Blossom and Bees. I am absolutely thrilled to have you here. If you love a cosy natural home, a warm glow, and products made with real care, you’re in the right place.

I started this journey out of a deep fascination with bees and the incredible things they create. Blossom and Bees isn't just a shop, it’s an extension of my own backyard. Every single candle I pour is made using 100% pure beeswax harvested straight from my own hives.

When you light one of my candles, you are getting a true "hive-to-home" experience. But if you’ve never burned pure beeswax before, you might wonder: what makes it so special?

The Incredible Benefits of Pure Beeswax

For a long time, mass-market candles have relied on paraffin wax (a synthetic petroleum by-product) and heavy chemical fragrances. Once I started working with natural beeswax, I realised just how much better a candle could be.

Here is why beeswax is the undisputed queen of candles:

  • The Cleanest Burn in the House: Because this wax comes straight from nature, it burns completely clean. You won't get that nasty black soot on your walls or ceiling, and you aren't breathing in synthetic chemical vapors.

  • Naturally Scented by Nature: My candles don't need artificial fragrances to smell amazing. Beeswax carries the natural, subtle aroma of the honey and wildflowers the bees visited. It gives off a warm, sweet, comforting scent that is never overpowering.

  • Built-in Air Purification: This is a bit of science magic, burning beeswax releases negative ions into the air. These ions attach to positive ions (like dust, odours, mould, and pollen), pulling them out of suspension. It literally cleans the air while it burns.

  • A Brighter, Longer Glow: Beeswax has a much higher melting point than soy or paraffin. This means beeswax candles burn significantly slower, giving you way more hours of light. Plus, the light spectrum of a burning beeswax candle is the closest thing to natural sunlight, creating an incredibly warm and cosy ambiance.

From My Hives to Your Home

There is something incredibly rewarding about tending to the hives, harvesting the wax, and hand-pouring these candles myself. I know exactly what goes into every single jar. It is just pure, golden wax and a cotton wick.

Whether you’re winding down after a long day, setting the mood for dinner, or just enjoying a quiet morning coffee, I hope these candles bring a little bit of the hive's warmth into your space.

Let’s Connect!

This is just the beginning of our journey. In future posts, I’ll be sharing a look inside the hives, candle care tips to make your wax last even longer, and other updates.

I’d love to know: have you ever burned a 100% beeswax candle before, or will Blossom and Bees be your very first one? Let me know in the comments below!
